Full referral termsOur take
A premium business travel card intended for firms that can repeatedly use its airport, travel, and business-service benefits. It is not an everyday earning solution for every company, and the large annual fee should be evaluated against company spending that already exists. A long credit list can create administrative work and encourage vendor choices that are poor for the business.
Best for
- ✓ Businesses with frequent employee air travel
- ✓ Companies already paying for several included services
- ✓ Owners who can use premium airport and hotel benefits repeatedly
Not ideal for
- — Low-travel businesses
- — Owners wanting one simple high-earning card
- — Companies that would add subscriptions merely to consume credits
Conservative break-even test
Use the prior year's accounting records to value benefits actually consumed by the business. Subtract lost discounts or preferred-vendor value, and compare rewards with the best lower-fee business alternative. The card should survive a conservative year-two calculation without its bonus.
First year vs. ongoing year worksheet
For year two, remove the one-time welcome offer entirely. To recover a $895 fee from rewards alone, this card must produce that much more value than your best no-fee alternative. At a 1% incremental return, that would require about $89,500 in eligible annual spend before counting credits you would genuinely buy anyway.
