Ongoing value depends on regular Marriott stays, spend-triggered benefits, and whether its credits fit existing dining or hotel behavior. Travelers should compare it with lower-fee Marriott cards and general travel cards before assuming the middle tier is the best compromise.

Conservative break-even test
Value recurring credits and status from planned activity, then calculate how much additional spend is required for any certificate or milestone. Include the rewards given up by placing that spend on Bevy instead of another card.
First year vs. ongoing year worksheet
For year two, remove the one-time welcome offer entirely. To recover a $250 fee from rewards alone, this card must produce that much more value than your best no-fee alternative. At a 1% incremental return, that would require about $25,000 in eligible annual spend before counting credits you would genuinely buy anyway.
