A mid-tier Hilton card that can suit regular—but not necessarily constant—Hilton guests. The card is easiest to justify when its status and spending benefits improve stays already planned. It becomes weaker when the holder values Hilton points at aspirational rates or shifts hotel bookings away from better locations and prices simply to remain loyal.

Compare the fee with credits used on stays you already planned, incremental on-property benefits, and realistic point value. Include any extra room cost created by choosing Hilton over a cheaper equivalent property.

For year two, remove the one-time welcome offer entirely. To recover a $150 fee from rewards alone, this card must produce that much more value than your best no-fee alternative. At a 1% incremental return, that would require about $15,000 in eligible annual spend before counting credits you would genuinely buy anyway.
